PCC’s Veterinary Technology program is the only program of its kind in the state of Oregon, and only one of four in the Pacific Northwest. The program prepares students to become certified veterinary technicians and to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam, administered by the Oregon Veterinary Medical Examining Board. We offer veterinary technician courses at our Maple Woods campus, veterinary assistant and veterinary receptionist classes at our Maple Woods and Blue River campuses, pre-veterinary prerequisites at all five MCC campuses, and practice management. Thank you for interest in the Veterinary Technology Program VTP at McLennan Community College. This academically challenging program is designed to provide the theory and practice necessary to become registered as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. This 60-hour program is usually taken sequentially over a 6-semester period of time.
